Countr vs a spreadsheet

A spreadsheet is free and fully yours. It works well for a few trips a year. It gets hard when you need to rebuild years of travel or follow a rolling rule like Schengen 90/180.

Choose a spreadsheet if…

  • You take only a few trips a year and already write down the dates.
  • You want full control over every column and formula.

Choose Countr if…

  • You need to rebuild past years and the dates are scattered across photos and emails.
  • You follow a rolling rule, where every day has its own 180-day or 12-month window.
  • You want a reminder on your phone before you reach a limit.

A rolling rule is where sheets break.

For Schengen 90/180, the question is not "how many days this year". It is "how many days in the 180 days before this day", and that has to be true on every day of your trip. You can build that in a sheet, but most people get it slightly wrong. Try our free Schengen calculator to see the rolling window.

Try Countr with your photos.

The easiest way to compare is to see what Countr finds in your own photos.
